Earlier this week, an article from SPIN.ph reported that Gilas combo guard Terrence Romeo is on the trading block after requesting a trade from the team that originally drafted him in the middle point of last season.

The story was first reported by Musong Castillo of Inquirer.

Meanwhile, it seems like the Meralco Bolts paper work to get Romeo for Amer and Newsome didn't work and the GlobalPort front office looked for other options.

This time, they fielded an offer to the 2014 Grand Slam covetors sending their superstar guard for prominent and  serviceable names in the same position.

The deal will send Terrence Romeo to the Magnolia Hotshots for prized rookie Jio Jalalon and reliable Justin Melton and Brondial plus the team's 2018 first-round pick.

It  was sent to the Commissioner's office for approval this Wednesday evening. It is the first trade proposal submitted after a dispute in the league's top position lately.

Terrence Romeo will share minuted in a star-studded backcourt and lineup of the fiery Hotshots with Paul Lee, Mark Barroca and Peter June Simon.

Meanwhile, Melton and Jalalon will likely start for GlobalPort and Pringle is expected to be a swingman this season.
